Description
Splendid, Lustrous MS62 1876-S Twenty
Popular Type Two Centennial Issue
1876-S $20 MS62 PCGS. A popular S-mint Centennial issue, the
1876-S double eagle had a generous mintage that approached 2
million pieces. As a plentiful Type Two issue, the 1876-S is also
in great demand, and this piece should fill the bill nicely. With a
bold strike and splendid luster radiating from the orange-gold
surfaces, the piece shows some moderate contact marks consistent
with the grade. It nonetheless offers considerable eye
appeal.(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 26AX, PCGS# 8978, GSID# 9925)
