Description
Rarely Encountered MS64 1876-S Twenty
1876-S $20 MS64 PCGS. Considered a common coin in lesser grades, the '76-S is conditionally challenging in MS64 condition. Only six pieces have been so graded by PCGS (6/01) with only coin in a higher grade, and that piece is a Gem. This is truly an extraordinary coin for a Type Two twenty. The surfaces exude bright, shimmering, frosted luster that rolls around each side as it is tilted beneath a light. Sharply struck and minimally abraded.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 26AX, PCGS# 8978, Greysheet# 9925)
Weight: 33.44 grams
Metal: 90% Gold, 10% Copper
