Description

Significant 1877-CC AU53 Twenty Dollar

1877-CC $20 AU53 PCGS. The bright honey-gold surfaces of this CC-mint representative display faint reddish-tan accents and are sharply defined on the design elements. Inoffensive, light circulation marks are visible over each side. In 1877, the double eagle design was modified by changing the value from TWENTY D. to TWENTY DOLLARS. This is important to Carson City collectors, as it represents the only significant design change for the gold coinage from this mint.(Registry values: N1793)
