Appealing 1877-CC Double Eagle, XF40
1877-CC $20 XF40 PCGS. This is the first year of the Type Three (value of TWENTY DOLLARS on the reverse) double eagle, struck at the Philadelphia, Carson City, and San Francisco Mints. Traces of luster reside in the protected areas of this peach-gold specimen that displays strong detail after discounting high-point wear.
