1878 $20 MS61 Prooflike NGC. This date falls early in the run of Type Three double eagles, and though circulated pieces are readily available, supply dries up quickly as the grade advances through Mint State. Prooflike examples such as the present coin are particularly prized; there are just four MS61 Prooflike representatives graded by NGC and none finer (4/09). The distinctly reflective yellow-gold mirrors show scattered moderate abrasions that account for the grade.
