Pleasing 1878 Double Eagle, MS62
1878 $20 MS62 NGC. A powerful strike is complemented by splendid satiny luster throughout. There are a number of light grazes on each side, as typical for the grade, but only a shallow group of marks below the eagle's right (facing) wing merit specific mention. A bright yellow and handsome specimen. NGC has certified just 32 pieces finer (7/08). (Registry values: N1793)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 26B3, PCGS# 8985, GSID# 9816)
