Description
1878 Liberty Head Twenty, MS62
Pleasing Surfaces
1878 $20 MS62 PCGS. The 1878 Liberty Head double eagle is an
available issue in circulated grades, but the Mint State population
is largely confined to the MS60 and MS61 level. MS62 coins are
fairly scarce and Select or better examples are rare. The present
coin is well struck, with excellent luster and outstanding eye
appeal. A short vertical scratch above the second L in DOLLARS and
a scattering of smaller marks on the obverse are consistent with
the grade.(Registry values: N1793)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 26B3, PCGS# 8985, GSID# 9816)
