Attractive 1878 Double Eagle, MS62
1878 $20 MS62 PCGS. Eye-catching lustrous surfaces exhibit delightful butter-yellow coloration. This appealing, boldly struck example has scattered yet entirely trivial abrasions. The 1878 double eagle is challenging at this level and very scarce any finer. PCGS has certified only 38 pieces in higher grades (7/10).(Registry values: N1793)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 26B3, PCGS# 8985, GSID# 9816)
