Type Three 1878-S Twenty MS62
1878-S $20 MS62 NGC. Like many Type Three issues, the 1878-S is much scarcer in Mint State than its mintage implies. Just a single piece has been certified as high as MS64, and most survivors are abraded. This lustrous example has a clean reverse, and the portrait is also unblemished. Marks are clustered on the lower right obverse field.(Registry values: N4719)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 26B5, PCGS# 8987, GSID# 9929)
