Lustrous 1879-CC Twenty AU53
1879-CC $20 AU53 PCGS. Variety 1-A, the only known dies. The khaki-gold centers meld into deeper reddish-gold at the borders of this stimulating piece. Much luster clings to the surfaces, which are largely devoid of distracting abrasions. The strike is a bit soft on the upper edge of the coronet and the back curls, and a small grease strike-through is noted below the eagle's neck.
