1880-S $20 MS62 PCGS. CAC. The 1880-S Liberty double eagle is somewhat scarce in Mint State grades, from a mintage of 836,000 pieces. The population drops off quickly in successively higher grades, and the issue is very rare above the MS62 level. The present coin is a sharply detailed MS62 specimen, with vibrant mint luster and a scattering of grade-consistent handling marks on both sides.
