Predictably, the 1881 issue is a major rarity in all grades. It is estimated that fewer than 40 coins are known." That figure would make up only about 2% of the 2,199 business strikes produced. This well-defined straw-yellow example, lightly marked overall but with few significant abrasions, is modestly worn with significant reflective luster remaining in the fields.
