Scarce 1881-S Double Eagle, MS62
1881-S $20 MS62 NGC. Tall S. The date is lightly repunched. Cartwheel luster sweeps this khaki-gold double eagle. Scattered small abrasions correspond to the grade. Apparently an indifferently shipped or loosely stored issue, since survivors are virtually unobtainable in Select or finer quality.
