Description
Conditionally Rare 1881-S Twenty MS62
1881-S $20 MS62 PCGS. At the time of its release, apparently no examples of the 1881-S were set aside by numismatists. Mint State examples exist, but were indifferently stored as bullion or bank reserves. The issue is nearly unobtainable in MS63 or finer grades, and many astute collectors instead seek a high-end MS62 example. This lustrous and evenly struck example has a few scattered bagmarks, but is pleasing for the grade overall.(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 26BD, PCGS# 8995, GSID# 9934)
