1882-CC Double Eagle, Unc Details
Impressive Strike

1882-CC $20 --Improperly Cleaned--NCS. Unc Details. Variety 1-A. From an original mintage of 39,140 pieces, the 1882-CC Morgan dollar is one of the more available issues from the famous Carson City Mint. Perhaps 800-900 examples survive today in all grades, and Doug Winter estimates 30-35 specimens in Mint State. The present coin is well struck, with orange-gold surfaces and minimal abrasions. The apparent wear on the devices is probably the result of improper cleaning.(Registry values: N2998)
