1882-S $20 MS62 PCGS. Like many S-mint Type Three double eagles, the 1882-S is readily available in grades through MS62, but elusive finer. Many of the S-mint Type Threes are also underrated in higher grades. The present example offers somewhat prooflike surfaces with good luster and rich orange-gold coloration. PCGS has only certified 31 finer pieces (8/08).(Registry values: N2998)
