Popular 1882-S Double Eagle, MS62
1882-S $20 MS62 PCGS. Breen-7283. Small Squat S, considered rare by Breen. Although common in circulated grades, the 1882-S is elusive in low Mint State grades and virtually impossible to locate above Select. Magnificent cartwheel luster glides across the yellow-gold surfaces of this boldly defined specimen. The scattered abrasions are customary for the grade. PCGS has certified just 31 examples finer (7/09).(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 26BG, PCGS# 8998, GSID# 9936)
