Description

Radiant Near-Mint 1883-CC Double Eagle

1883-CC $20 AU58 NGC. This double eagle issue hails from near the middle of the Carson City Mint's 23-year run, and it was made to the extent of less than 60,000 pieces--a respectable total that reflects a minor resurgence in yields from the fabled Comstock Lode. Radiant cartwheel luster remains on the orange-gold surfaces, with few relevant marks and excellent eye appeal.
