Description

Pleasing 1884-CC Double Eagle, AU58

1884-CC $20 AU58 NGC. A well executed strike leaves its mark on this 1884 Carson City representative. Most of Liberty's hair is individually defined, the star radials on both sides are sharp, and the eagle exhibits strong feather and wingtip detail. Ample luster is apparent on yellow-gold surfaces imbued with hints of light tan. The minute marks scattered about are not out of the ordinary for a lightly circulated, heavy gold coin.(Registry values: N1793)
