1885-CC Twenty, AU Details

1885-CC $20 -- Improperly Cleaned -- NGC Details. AU. Variety 1-A. The olive-green and apricot-gold surfaces are subdued and hairlined but luster is prominent on the reverse and apparent on the obverse. Minimally bagmarked but we note a faint pinscratch near the hairbun and a slight obverse rim ding at 2:30. This Old West issue has a very low mintage, likely due to the closure of the Carson City Mint on March 8.

Note for clients in the European Union: This lot is considered by the European Union to be “investment gold”. We believe that it meets the criteria established in Article 344(1), point (2) of Council Directive 2006/112/EC and thus should be exempt from import VAT regardless of the selling price. Any questions or concerns about VAT should be addressed to your accountant or local tax authority.
