Description

Lustrous Choice XF 1885-CC Twenty

1885-CC $20 XF45 PCGS. The 1885-CC double eagle, the last Carson City twenty struck before that mint's nearly four-year shutdown in the late 1880s, is a scarce issue with an original mintage of only 9,450 pieces. The present wheat-gold example has ample remaining luster, particularly on the reverse, though the lightly worn surfaces also show several significant abrasions.(Registry values: N1793)
