Highly Lustrous 1885-S Twenty, MS63 ★
1885-S $20 MS63 ★ NGC. Type Three S-mint double eagles are underrated overall, and this relatively low-mintage issue in Select grade with the NGC Star should attract plenty of attention from the legions of collectors interested in type gold issues. The boisterous luster emanating from the orange-gold surfaces justly merits the Star, complemented by clean surfaces for the grade and a bold strike. NGC has certified only 11 numerically finer examples (9/09).(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 26BP, PCGS# 9005, Greysheet# 9942)
