Description

Lustrous MS62 1888 Double Eagle

1888 $20 MS62 ICG. Boldly impressed with vibrant yellow-orange luster. Though each side shows numerous tiny abrasions, particularly the reverse, this coin retains considerable eye appeal for the grade. The 1888 was the first higher-mintage Philadelphia double eagle issue to be struck since 1880, but it remains a rarity in the better Mint State grades.(Registry values: N1793)
