Description

Lustrous 1888 Twenty, MS62

1888 $20 MS62 NGC. The 1888 double eagle is one of many condition rarities in the Liberty series, common enough in lower Mint State grades, but rare as the numerical levels increase. This issue is rarely found above the present MS62 level. In fact, NGC has only certified 12 finer coins (6/10). Faint pink toning enhances the eye appeal of this frosty and lustrous yellow-gold double eagle. Scattered surface marks are consistent with the grade.(Registry values: N1793)
