Description

Tied for Finest 1889 Twenty, MS63

1889 $20 MS63 PCGS. The grading services have never graded an 1889 twenty any finer than this piece. For the connoisseur, this is tied with few others as the finest available example. The surfaces have a few scattered marks that are consistent with the grade. Rich yellow-gold luster and brilliant mint frost is enhanced by subtle rose toning and a few splashes of darker color. The opportunity to actually acquire an MS63 representative seldom appears. It has been nearly two years since the last PCGS MS63 piece offered at auction. In fact, this is only the fourth similar example we have offered in the past eight years. Population: 13 in 63, 0 finer (8/07).(Registry values: N4719)
