1889-CC Double Eagle, AU58
Low-Mintage Carson City Issue

1889-CC $20 AU58 NGC. Winter 1-A. A coinage of only 30,945 double eagles was accomplished at Carson City in 1889, produced in the final quarter of the calendar year after the mint reopened following a four-year production hiatus. This high-end AU example displays lovely straw-gold luster with the faintest trace of wear and only light abrasions. The strike is sharp and eye appeal is strong.(Registry values: N1793)
