1889-CC $20 MS63 PCGS. Winter 1-A. Bright, satiny luster over both sides reveal a modest number of minor abrasions scattered over the fields and devices. A pair of twin facial marks are small and not particularly offensive, but can be useful for future attribution. There is a slight reddish tinge to the orange-gold surfaces and a hint of yellow at the rims. Among Carson City twenties, the 1889-CC is one of the few issues that can occasionally be located in Uncirculated, but most are heavily abraded MS 60 to MS 61 examples. At the MS63 grade, the 1889-CC is challenging indeed. A single example is certified finer at PCGS and NGC combined. PCGS Population: 9 in 63, 1 finer (1/25).
