Description

Important 1889-S Twenty, MS63

1889-S $20 MS63 PCGS. Like so many other San Francisco twenties, a substantial number of 1889-S twenties were minted, in this case 774,700 pieces. Also like other issues, survivors are apt to be worn or heavily abraded. Select MS63 examples are difficult to locate, and the collector might as well forget about anything nicer, as PCGS has only graded nine better pieces. This one has wonderful lemon-yellow luster with rose highlights, frosty surfaces, and few abrasions of any kind.(Registry values: N2998)
