1890 $20 MS63 NGC. This is an early strike with the top of the 1 in the date clearly doubled. Just 75,940 of these coins were produced and few survive in higher grades. This Select Uncirculated example is sharply struck with lovely light orange-gold luster. The fields are frosty with hardly any abrasions visible in-hand. About 110 coins exist in this grade at PCGS and NGC combined and barely over a dozen pieces are reported numerically finer. In a Generation 5 holder. Census: 35 in 63 (4 in 63+), 4 finer (10/24).(Registry values: N4719)
