Description

Reflective 1890-CC Double Eagle, MS61

1890-CC $20 MS61 NGC. The 1890-CC twenty has a generous mintage approaching six figures, and Mint State examples are available for a price. Few MS61 survivors, though, could approach the eye appeal of the present coin. The yellow-gold fields are intensely reflective, and the well-defined devices offer distinct frost, creating remarkable contrast. A grease strike-through crosses between IN and GOD on the reverse.(Registry values: N2998)
