Description

Type Three 1890-CC Double Eagle, MS61

1890-CC $20 MS61 PCGS. Honey-gold patination shows hints of light tan and green, and a decisive strike delivers strong delineation to the design elements. Small marks, while not warranting individual mention, preclude MS62 classification. The luster flow is nearly complete on both sides. A nice coin for the designated grade. This is a highly popular issue owing to its Carson City Mint affiliation.
