Description

Low Mintage 1891-CC Double Eagle, VF35

1891-CC $20 VF35 PCGS. The 5,000-piece mintage of the 1891-CC double eagle is among the lowest for any Carson City issue. We present here a Choice VF example that retains traces of luster in the protected areas. Yellow-gold surfaces are imbued with whispers of apricot and mint-green, slightly deeper in hue on the reverse. Sharply struck throughout. A strikethrough is noted in the left obverse field.(Registry values: N2998)
