Description
1892 Twenty Dollar, AU58
Low-Mintage Philadelphia Issue
1892 $20 AU58 NGC. The 1892 is the last ultra-low-mintage
date from the Philadelphia Mint in this series (4,430 pieces
struck). Examples are scarce in the upper AU grades, and Mint State
coins are especially difficult to acquire. The date tends to come
well struck, which makes high-end AU and Mint State coins quite
attractive when found with limited abrasions. This near-Mint coin
displays vibrant luster and only light marks in the fields and on
Liberty's cheek. Bright yellow-gold color and a strong cartwheel
effect produce ample eye appeal for the grade. Census: 29 in 58, 36
finer (5/22).(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 26C5, PCGS# 9019, Greysheet# 9827)
Weight: 33.44 grams
Metal: Gold
