Description
1892-CC Liberty Double Eagle, AU58
Lustrous, Colorful Example
1892-CC $20 AU58 NGC. Winter 1-A. Ex: Charles Hay
Collection. Despite a small mintage of 27,265 pieces, the 1892-CC
is one of the more available double eagles from the Carson City
Mint, due to a number of hoards that surfaced in recent times. This
impressive near-Mint example displays vivid orange-gold surfaces
that show minimal abrasions, with vibrant mint luster on both
sides. Only the slightest trace of wear shows on the sharply
detailed design elements and eye appeal is quite strong.Ex: Long Beach Signature (Heritage, 9/2019), lot 4056.(Registry values: N1793)
