1892-CC Double Eagle, XF40
27,265 Coins Struck

1892-CC $20 XF40 PCGS. Winter 1-A. A blend of olive and red-gold color blankets this lightly circulated Carson City double eagle. The motifs show good detail for a large gold coin that clearly spent some time in the channels of commerce out West. Rim depressions above star 9, and opposite below the R in DOLLARS, serve as pedigree markers. The right obverse field displays horizontal hairlines.
