Description
Vibrant Select 1892-S Twenty
1892-S $20 MS63 PCGS. Many 1892-S double eagles, along with other San Francisco twenty dollar issues of the era, were shipped to Europe or South America for international trade (Jeff Garrett and Ron Guth, 2006), making this date readily available in all but the highest Mint State grades. This Select example exhibits elegant yellow-gold color with a faint green cast, and pleasing luster. A sharp strike emboldens the design features. A few faint abrasions on the obverse account for the grade.(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 26C7, PCGS# 9021, GSID# 9952)
