Description

Lovely 1893-CC Double Eagle, MS62

1893-CC $20 MS62 NGC. This was the final double eagle issue from the Carson City Mint, and just 18,402 pieces were produced. According to the Encyclopedia of U.S. Gold Coins, several findings have increased the availability of this date, making it easier to obtain in high grades than in previous years. This example is well struck and lustrous, with a lovely satiny sheen across both sides. Scattered small marks limit the grade.(Registry values: N2998)
