1893-S $20 MS64 NGC. Strong cartwheel luster leans slightly toward a satiny sheen as opposed to the familiar frosted appearance, though the warm wheat-gold hues and overall luminance is characteristic. A bold strike adds to the appeal, while scattered light marks do not detract. A small coppery alloy spot appears between Liberty's bun and star 9. The 1893-S is a scarce in MS64, and no numerically finer examples are reported at NGC (5/24).(Registry values: N4719)
