Description
Conditionally Rare Near Gem 1894-S Twenty Dollars
1894-S $20 MS64 PCGS. A crisply struck and carefully preserved Double Eagle. An interesting, slender strike-thru (as made) is found above the left side of the N in TWENTY. Not particularly difficult to find in bagmarked Mint State grades, the 1894-S becomes scarce at the MS63 level and is rare as a near-Gem. As of (9/04), PCGS has only certified a solitary example finer, as MS65.(#9026) (Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 26CC, PCGS# 9026, GSID# 9955)
