1895 $20 MS64 NGC. CAC. The 1895 double eagle is found in abundant numbers owing to thousands of examples returning from overseas vaults. The majority of these grade MS60 to MS63. This lovely apricot-gold near-Gem specimen displays pleasing luster and sharply struck design elements. A well executed strike imparts strong detail to the design features. This date is extremely difficult to locate any finer.(Registry values: N2998)
