1896 $20 MS64 ★ NGC. This amazing piece would easily feel at home in an otherwise Gem set of Liberty double eagles. The fields on both sides are reflective and nearly prooflike in appearance. It is boldly defined with no evidence of any design weakness. The surfaces are splendid and nearly pristine. All aspects of this piece suggest that it is one of the finest 1896 double eagles available in the current numismatic arena.
