Description

1896 Double Eagle, Radiant MS64+

1896 $20 MS64+ PCGS. This fantastic MS64+ double eagle is impressive for its smooth surfaces, swirling frost, and the radiant shades of orange, green, and rose-gold that adorn each side. The motifs showcase complete detail, and the sole overt imperfection is a bagmark in the field above the eagle's right (facing) wing. Very rare in better condition, with PCGS having seen merely seven finer submissions (1/17).(Registry values: N2998)
