1896 $20 MS64 PCGS. The lustrous and frosty near-Gem surfaces radiate yellow and lime-green accents across the predominantly orange-gold surfaces for excellent eye appeal. A sharp strike adds technical quality to the Choice Uncirculated surfaces. While enough coins survive at the MS64 level to satisfy most advanced collectors, the 1896 issue becomes rare any finer. PCGS reports only 11 finer examples plus 19 pieces in 64+ (1/25).(Registry values: N2998)
