Description

1896-S Twenty Dollar, MS64

1896-S $20 MS64 NGC. Booming luster and a sharp strike characterize this double eagle, struck during the election year of 1896, when gold supporter McKinley defeated silver advocate Bryan. Abrasions are minimal overall, though a small mark behind the mouth and a thin line above the nose merit singular mention. As of (3/13), NGC has graded only one example finer.
