Description
Gorgeous 1897-S Twenty Dollar, MS64
1897-S $20 MS64 NGC. The 1897-S double eagle is readily available through the MS63 grade level. Near-Gem examples can be obtained with a degree of patience and searching, but anything finer is rare. A gorgeous medley of apricot, mint-green, and yellow-gold visits the lustrous surfaces of this MS64 specimen, and a well executed strike leaves crisp definition on the design features. Gem status is denied by a few minute handling marks. (Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 26CJ, PCGS# 9032, GSID# 9958)
