1898 $20 MS63+ PCGS. The 1898 double eagle has a smaller-than-expected mintage of 170,300 coins. Mint State survivors are collectible through MS63 but rarely are they found in better grades. Cartwheel luster radiates across clean peach-gold surfaces. The stars, curls, and feathers are crisp. NGC reports 24 finer submissions (6/23).(Registry values: N2998)
