Lovely 1899-S Twenty, MS64
1899-S $20 MS64 PCGS. A stunning near-Gem with highly lustrous and frosty yellow-gold surfaces. More than 2 million 1899-S double eagles were coined, yet few have survived as fine as this piece. Higher grade examples are major rarities. In fact PCGS has only certified three finer pieces (8/08).(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 26CN, PCGS# 9036, GSID# 9960)
