Description
Beautiful Near-Gem 1900-S Double Eagle
1900-S $20 MS64 PCGS. This is a popular issue, either as a Type Three double eagle from the San Francisco Mint, or as a turn-of-the century-date example. This near-Gem displays sumptuous luster and heavenly honey-gold toning. Crisply struck throughout, with a couple of faint luster grazes in the left obverse field the prevent a higher grade. Rare any finer, with just 11 pieces certified above MS64 by NGC and PCGS combined. (Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 26CR, PCGS# 9038, GSID# 9961)
