Description
1901 Liberty Head Double Eagle, MS64+
High Quality for the Grade
1901 $20 MS64+ PCGS. This is a Choice Uncirculated example
that is well struck with detailed denticles and stars on the
obverse. Luster is excellent with a crisp, frosty texture
highlighting honey-golden tones. This issue is subject to mint-made
copper spots, and this example does have a small one underneath the
hair bun on Liberty, although it is minor. Both sides have small
nicks consistent with the issue and grade, but these do not
distract much from the above-average level of eye appeal.(Registry values: N1793)From The JK44 Collection.
