Description

1901-S Twenty Dollar, MS65
Conditionally Scarce Issue

1901-S $20 MS65 NGC. The combined population data of NGC and PCGS reveal a total of six coins of this issue certified in MS65 or finer grades. Those include one MS65 PCGS, one MS66 PCGS, and four MS65 NGC examples. This impressive coin has frosted devices and partially reflective fields with rich yellow luster and hints of rose toning. The devices are boldly defined, and all aspects of this piece meet or exceed the MS65 grade assigned. A review of our Permanent Auction Archives shows that this Gem specimen is the only MS65 we have handled since 1993 (this is the second time we have offered this piece), when our archives were created.
